Transport is the largest emitting sector of greenhouse gas emissions, producing 27% of the UK’s total emissions in 2019.

We are on a mission to reduce not only our own carbon footprint but also that of the people who use our services.

We are committed to having a cleaner bus fleet and are taking steps to transition from diesel to electric vehicles. Despite electric buses costing at least double diesel alternatives, we are aiming to acquire two new electric vehicles per year.

Building up gradually will enable us to gain experience and confidence so we can ensure the majority of our fleet is electric or other clean fuel technology by approximately 2030.

As well as helping to clean up the air in our towns and villages, offering electric bus travel will give our passengers an affordable greener travel option.
